We are looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and be able to create high-quality cabinets from start to finish. This includes measuring, cutting, sanding, assembling, and finishing the cabinets. The successful candidate will also have a keen eye for detail and be able to work with a variety of materials. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and motivated to produce quality work.

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut wood to specified sizes and shapes.
- Construct cabinets and furniture from wood, veneers, and laminates.
- Install hardware such as hinges, knobs, and pulls.
- Sand and finish pieces using hand tools and power tools.
- Assemble cabinets and furniture using glue, screws, nails, dowels, and other fasteners.
- Repair existing cabinets and furniture.
- Inspect finished pieces for quality assurance.
- Prepare for spray painting using sanding skill
- Support installations on site
- Operating woodworking machines such as: Table saw, jointer, planer, shaper, boring machine, edge bander and the CNC router
Requirements:
- Ability to commute/relocate: Nelson, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Education: AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
- Experience: Cabinet maker: 5 years (required)
- Language: English (required)

- Quoting Jobs: Use company-specific software to accurately quote projects, ensuring transparency and no hidden fees.
- Designing Jobs: Ensure that all designs meet our standards for form and function, creating spaces that are both beautiful and practical.
- Ordering Materials: Manage the procurement of materials, ensuring that everything needed for each project is sourced on time and within budget.
- Programming CNC Router: Program the CNC router to create precision components, leveraging Swiss accuracy and efficiency.
- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that every project meets our high standards of craftsmanship.
- Supporting Team: Provide support to the team during the manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring smooth operations and resolving any issues that arise.
- Job Analysis: Conduct thorough job analysis to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure continuous innovation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the custom millwork or cabinetry industry.
- Strong proficiency with project management software and CNC programming.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for craftsmanship and quality, with an understanding of the custom millwork industry being a plus.
