About Us
Steinegg Cabinets is a small professional cabinet shop in Nelson, BC. We produce and install custom millwork — kitchens, vanities, closets, and more — built to a standard we’re genuinely proud of. Our modern shop is equipped with almost all common machines, including a CNC router. We also get to build custom furniture from time to time. Keeping things interesting is important to us — a variety of work keeps us sharp and our skills well-rounded.
We are a team of five. The owner is hands-on and present every day. If that matters to you, it’ll feel like the right fit.
What You’ll Do
- Fabricate custom cabinets to spec from raw materials
- Measure and cut wood, veneers, and laminates to size
- Construct cabinets and furniture using glue, screws, dowels, and other fasteners
- Install hardware including hinges, knobs, pulls, and drawer slides
- Sand and finish pieces using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare surfaces for spray finishing
- Repair existing cabinets and furniture
- Inspect finished pieces for quality assurance
- Support on-site installations
- Operate woodworking machinery: table saw, jointer, planer, shaper, boring machine, edge bander, and CNC router
